6 reasons you should have a Christmas party
There’s not much time till Christmas - how will you choose to celebrate the day?
If you’re still on the fence, unsure if you should host a Christmas party or slouch on the couch, perhaps these 6 reasons will convince you.
1. It's an excuse to dress up
Yep, you've flirted with the idea of heading out just so that you can put on that glittery dress. But the thought of having to jostle amongst the Orchard Road crowd and paying for midnight taxi surcharge just makes you want to cry.
Have a fancy dress Christmas party instead!
2. Get to hang out for as long as you like
It's Christmas eve and Orchard is flooded with revellers. The waitress looks like she's been on her feet for 10 hours and has been pretty nasty. The restaurant manager is shooting you daggers because you and your 8 other friends have been nursing cups of tea 2 hours after the dessert arrived.
Hate that feeling? Then have a house party and catch up for as long as you like.
3. Because decorating the house is fun
We're not talking about running to the party store and decking out with the run-of-the-mill streamers here. We're talking about the simplest, most addictively fun Christmas DIY decor projects. See our favourite picks.
4. Why put up with bad wine?
We're not sure why anyone would want to go out and pay for a crappy glass of house wine when they could get half a bottle of decent wine delivered to their doorstep for the same price. Redmart to the wine party rescue!
5. You barely have to lift a finger
Our grandmothers never thought this day would come - you don't even have to cook to have a party anymore.
Really tiny party? Get an Ubereats delivery.
Got 10 to 15 people? Get a mini buffet.
Much larger? Go with the works, a full set-up buffet.
And when the party starts, you'll just need to sit back and sip wine.
6. It's your last chance at 2016
If you don't take this opportunity to party and make some good memories with your friends, you'll all be one year older next week.
